Your pet’s safety is at the heart of everything we make. Every Pawlace product is designed with comfort, durability, and safety as top priorities. Below is an overview of the materials we use and how to keep your pet safe while enjoying them.

Our Materials

We select materials specifically for pets, not repurposed human accessories. This includes:

• Metals — Nickel-free, hypoallergenic clasps and hardware to reduce the risk of skin irritation
• Fabrics — Soft, breathable materials free of harsh dyes or rough seams that could irritate skin or fur
• Leather — Genuine or vegan leather, finished without harsh chemical treatments
• Fragrance — Pet-safe perfume formulations, free of ingredients known to be harmful to animals
• Plush & Stuffing (Custom Clones) — Non-toxic, hypoallergenic filling and child-and-pet-safe exterior fabrics

Choking and Ingestion Hazards

Small parts such as clasps, charms, or decorative embellishments can pose a choking or ingestion risk, especially for pets who chew or for households with small pets or curious puppies. We recommend:

• Supervising your pet while wearing jewelry or accessories, especially the first few times
• Removing jewelry and small-part accessories during unsupervised play, crate time, or sleep
• Checking regularly for loose clasps, charms, or stitching

Sizing for Safety

An improperly sized collar, necklace, or harness can be uncomfortable or unsafe. Please refer to our Size Guide before ordering, and re-check fit periodically for growing puppies or pets with changing weight.

Allergies and Sensitivities

While our materials are chosen to minimize irritation, every pet is different. If your pet has known allergies or sensitive skin, we recommend:

• Introducing new jewelry or apparel gradually, monitoring for any redness or irritation
• Patch-testing perfume on a small area before full application
• Consulting your veterinarian if you have concerns about a specific material

Custom Pet Clones

Our custom clones are made with child-safe, non-toxic materials, but like any plush item, they are not intended to be chewed, ingested, or left unsupervised with pets who tend to destroy soft toys.
